- Soft Cretacolor Nero Pencil
Cretacolor Nero Pencils combine the properties of traditional charcoal and modern coloured pencils. Nero is Cretacolor’s name for a carbon pigment with a fat, oily binder added. It bonds to the paper better than charcoal and therefore smudges less, but still produces deep, black lines and tones. The Nero core is also harder and more elastic, so you can press a little harder without the tip breaking. Can be sharpened with pencil sharpeners and knife.
