  • Due to its oily content, it is also water-resistant.
  • Charcoal pigment with oily binder (Nero).
  • Can be smeared and wiped out to some extent.
  • Its shape lends itself to large-area drawing.
  • When the drawing is complete, the charcoal can be fixed permanently to the paper with a fixative spray.
  • The Cretacolor Nero Stick measures 7 x 7mm, length 72mm.

The stick shape, with sharp corners and flat sides, offers a wide variety of drawing possibilities: uniform lines of different thicknesses, angular staccato-like marks, curved calligraphic strokes and much more. By changing how hard you press the sticks against the paper, you can achieve a fine variation in tonal value and texture. The structure of the surface of the paper also plays an important role here. The Nero sticks are relatively break-resistant, and it is possible to press hard and work quickly and intuitively.
